Day 6 - Favorite super hero

Sooooo..... I'm not really big into super heros, and I REALLY don't like super hero movies. Except for the Incredibles. But I don't like that movie for the super heros, I like it for the family. Other than that.... yeah, can't think of a single one I like. And for sure I don't read comic books.

So why don't I appreciate super heros? Maybe because I think about it too deeply. Super heros think it's their job to save their world, which I guess to me is an inherently false idea. Also, the stories are all the same. Man realizes superpower. Man forgets or ignores responsibility. Man makes ridiculously colossal mistake(s). Man remembers (or is forced to accept) responsibility. Man tries to fix colossal mistake. Man becomes hero whether he wants to or not.

HERCULES! Ok, there's one I do like. Not so much the actual Greek story, but the Disney movie. The basic superhero plot is still there, but I like the end better, because he recognizes that he can live on earth being neither a regular guy nor a god, and that's ok. I think in the end he finds his place better than most super heros.
