Day 5 - A picture of somewhere you've been

My friends sometimes remind me how unusual it is for a girl my age to have been to so many places. I've driven across the United States at least 10 times. That's only 5 roundtrip, but it wasn't all at once. As far as longer stays, I've been to Bethany Beach in Delaware, Outer Banks and Myrtle Beach in South Carolina, Orlando in Florida, Palmyra in Upstate New York, Niagara Falls (New York and Canada sides), Cincinnati(well, across the river, to Florence, KY), Henderson in Nevada, Macks Inn Idaho, San Diego and Los Angeles California, and so many places in between. I claim Ellicott City, MD as my home base, but home is Utah now. I lived in Provo for most of college, and visited every city in the Utah and Salt Lake valleys it seems like. I claim Nauvoo as a place I once lived, though it was only four months, and while I was there I visited pretty much every church history site in the midwest, and the east too. I lived in Jerusalem for two months, and visited Galilee, Jordan, and Egypt, and lots of cities in between. And on the way there we had an 11 hour layover in Vienna, Austria. And when I was 5, I lived in Germany for a year. While we were there, I spent weekends in France and Italy. And when I was REALLY little there was a family vacation to Cancun, but I'm not sure if that counts really. So how the heck am I supposed to pick a place for a picture? I guess I could do like I did with the friends post, but that might get old. Hmm.

Ok, I pick one of the wonders of the world. Petra was definitely one of those grand iconic places that I wish I had appreciated a little more... you'll note that I'm not in this picture. I worked very hard that day to be in a very minimal amount of pictures, because it was SO HOT and I felt disgusting. And I ran out of water for the first time like, ever. And I had a headache, and when it came time for lunch, I wanted anything but hot meat... like, fruit would have been awesome. There was fruit everywhere at lunch, and we weren't allowed to eat it because it would supposedly make us sick. Anyway, besides all that I thought Petra was AWESOME. But it's so far away from everything, that I'll probably never go back. So I'm glad I got the experience when I did. So that's it, one picture of a place I've been.
