The Gibsons

"The Gibsons" are my mom's family. Technically, none of her three sisters are Gibsons anymore, but the four of them together will always be the Gibson girls. Wednesday, yesterday, and today I've enjoyed being with all of them, and it's always a riot. Today we took Aunt Rae to lunch for her birthday, and Uncle David and Aunt Teresa (who are Gibsons) came as well. It was sooo much fun! Uncle David tells the best stories. It's such an interesting phenomenon to see siblings together, no matter how old they are. No matter how they've changed, siblings kind of revert back to their old family roles when they get together.

I didn't get to spend much time with my Gibson relatives when I was a kid. Most of my cousins are much older than I am, but they are all so cool! And their kids are adorable. I love when I do get to see them. This week I did, and it was especially fun to have my mom in town. Family is awesome.
