Curves!

This week I decided a couple of things. First of all, I have been looking for work, but not very successfully. In the mean time, I need to get out and do something. I don't really know anyone here, and the few I do know are working. So I need to get out and do something on my own, but not alone. On a related note... my awesome resolve to go out walking every day is going to die somewhere between 85 and 100 degrees outside. So I need to either walk early in the morning when it's still practically dark... which won't happen... or I need a new plan.

Enter Curves. I went there a few years ago while I was home for the summer, but I stopped going when I went back to school. I tried again for a couple months, but I wasn't motivated enough to really fit going to the gym into my heavily scholastic schedule. But that isn't because I didn't like it. Curves is a gym that is only for women. It's a 30 minute workout every time you go. They suggest 3 times a week, but I can go every day if I want. And I probably will since I've been in the habit of every day. I signed up again this week, for a 30 day trial. And it will pretty much be the solution for both of the things I decided this week. New friends, new fun, more networking. And a healthier, happier me!

  1. YAY! That is a fantastic solution. I went running a little later than usual today (because the other two times I've gone makes it 'usual' lol) and i realized that when it gets hotter here I'm going to have a hard time with motivation... today was rough and it's just around 70*. I'm a weather wuss! My solution was to get up earlier, but I'm just not sure how I feel about that. I think Curves sounds fantastic!
