Missionaries!

Every week I live for missionary emails. They are usually the only good emails I get. One from my brother Jay on mondays, one from my friend Meagan, also on mondays, and one from my sister Rebecca, on wednesdays. They are in the Philippines, New Jersey, and Moscow, Russia respectively. But Meagan is speaking spanish in New Jersey so that's like a whole differnt country anyway. She keeps getting new investigators, and then they lose their jobs and move back to central/south america. It's so much fun to read about their experiences, and be uplifted by their testimony of the gospel. I feel kind of selfish that I'm not better at writing to them.

The picture above is courtesy of Rebecca's email today. She finally figured out how to send pictures from Russia. It is of four cousins all at the MTC at the same time, on a trip to the temple. Left to right : my cousin Jill, my sister Rebecca, my brother Jay, my cousin Kol. Kol wasn't supposed to be there because he was supposed to go straight to the MTC in Brazil, but he had to wait for his visa. I'm glad that they all got to be there together for a while. Jill is also in the Philippines, but in a different mission than Jay. Mom is supposed to forward her emails to me too, but she hasn't yet.

I wondered when I first started getting weekly emails from so many missionaries if I wouldn't wish that I had gone. When I was little, I told everyone who asked that I would go on a mission. But when I got to college, I decided differently. I could have gone. I had the opportunity, but I took a different path. I graduated, and from there life started to change pretty quickly. And I'm so happy with where I am now, that I can't imagine it being any different. I've certainly had my share of foreign adventures, so I don't feel like I'm missing out on that part, and I know that I have lots of opportunities to teach the gospel wherever I am. I feel like that is going to be a big part of my life anyway.

Anyway, I just wanted to say how proud I am of my friends and family on missions, and I feel so blessed that I get to hear about them so often. Those weekly emails bless my life abundantly.
