I actually have nothing clever to say for April Fools day. The only time I was ever successful at an April fools prank was two years ago, when I sent my cousin Sarah a photo message of a pretty ring on my left finger. Earlier that day I had gotten engaged on facebook to my friend Ben, along with like 10 other girls in the ward. But Sarah was the only one I could think of who was really that gullible, and I had to try to take it further than facebook. She didn't believe me at first, but I gradually convinced her and she freaked out. She called home to MD to tell her Dad, who had been sleeping for a couple of hours. I didn't think she would tell anyone else, which made it even better. I felt bad though, and only let her believe it another 20 minutes after we got off the phone. I still make fun of her for being so gullible.
This year I had a great prank. Cliche, but therefore believable. But then I realized that the white lie I thought about telling everyone might actually be true, in which case the joke's on me. And so I decided to keep it to myself. Maybe next year I'll think of something spectacular.

That's exactly what happened to me! Most of the April Fool's jokes that I can think of would be jokes on me... But I love you!
ReplyDeleteYou're not pregnant, are you!? We had that last year...
ReplyDeleteHaha, no, I'm not Jess. But it would have been really funny.
