Blogging at work is fun to do...

I'm happy to report that after two months of working at Box, it's not nearly as terrifying as it seemed to be at first. Actually, after a week or two I was pretty much settled here, and even started training people on what I knew how to do. I was one of the first of 20-30 new temps brought in to help Box through some of their busiest months ever. Interest rates kind of plummeted through late summer, and everyone and their dog wanted a refinance. I never saw myself working in the mortgage industry, but here I am. It kind of makes me never ever want to go through the mortgage process sometimes, but other than that it's a great job. And I've been promoted! After 6 weeks and at least 4 different job titles, along with training those who were my replacements, I am now an official pre-processor. So my name is on files, and I get to call people and help them get their documents in and make sure everything looks good before we move them to final processing. And I get and extra $10 for each one of my files that funds. Woo!

Other than that, I really do have to apologize about the lack of blogging. There is much to be blogged, but of late all my energy that might be left over after working 8 hours has gone to making dinner (maybe) and getting to bed as soon as possible. Seriously... that first trimester is a killer :) But now that it's over I think I can at least commit to blogging again. Obviously I won't be using Fridays to report on my weight loss during my pregnancy, so I'll report on the baby's growing instead.

This week my baby is the size of a lemon. I was confused by that at first because last week it was the size of a peach and I usually think of peaches as bigger than lemons. Also... apparently it doubled in weight last week. Wow. Yesterday I went to my second Dr.s appointment, and everything looked great! Heart-rate is 161, which is fast for me, but perfect for baby. I made an appointment to find out whether it's a boy or girl on my birthday, Nov. 21! That's just 4 more weeks, and I'm super excited. Maybe by then you'll be able to tell on the outside that I have a baby growing in me :)
