A Kohls giftcard success story

So our health insurance does this thing where you go to their website and participate in programs, read health articles, report healthy living, etc. You get points for pretty much everything, and when you reach 70000 points, you get a $25 gift card to the place of your choosing. The list is pretty all inclusive, so it's basically $25 for whatever you want. Sadly, you can only get one gift card every year.

Anyway, I chose Kohls, because I love Kohls. Today was my shopping adventure, and it was a complete success. I looked at the clothes first, but I didn't really see anything that I just HAD to have. So I went browsing, and found myself in a jungle of awesome picture frames on clearance. And what newlywed couple is not in serious want of picture frames? I found some that I am really happy with, that even match the ones we already have on display. That wasn't hard. Somehow most of our picture frames are black, and I'm ok with that because then the pictures stand out, and not the frames. So I hauled my frames up to the register, feeling so proud of myself. $24.40, and the cashier even gave me the extra 60 cents. When she told me I had saved $76 and circled it in red on my receipt, I seriously felt just like the commercial. Which is why I'm blogging about it.

So that's just another reward for trying to live healthier. I bought $100 worth of picture frames without paying a cent. In fact, I got paid 60 cents because I'm such a brilliant shopper.
