Weekly update - Onion baby!

At 17 weeks, my baby is the size of an onion. But it's easier if I think of it at 5.2 inches, because onions are all kinds of sizes. I feel like there have been a lot of onions in my life this week. I smell them all the time. Becca and I went to in-n-out, and they put a whole slice of onion on there instead of a couple rings like I'm used to. I don't think baby liked than. Then I had Stephen get me an onion at the grocery store so I could make potato soup. It was just a little one, but those juices were intense! I had to take a little break after chopping them, because baby didn't like that either. And if I touch an onion at all, I can smell it on my fingers for hours after. Even if I wash my hands a lot. So yeah, onion is a good size for baby this week.

I just got my free 15 minutes massage from one of my co-workers... best idea ever. He said his goal was to make me pretty much useless the rest of the day... I think he succeeded. haha. I have all sorts of knots in my back from the way I've slept my whole life. You know....on my side with my arms kind of folded to accommodate my huggy bear. Turns out that isn't as comfortable without the teddy bear, but I'm used to sleeping that way. Anyway, I have to really focus in order to relax when I'm getting any kind of massage but once I do it's totally worth it.

  1. I hate the onion smell on my fingers. I wear disposable gloves whenever I cut onions now, it really helps a lot! Maybe that would make baby happier too :)
